Back from New York Comic Con

It's been a blast to have a table at this year's New York Comic Con. I got to meet amazing people, and I surely try and be there next year.

Here are some Batman commissions I did during the convention. The one done on a blank cover version of Batman Black & White #1 I got to bring home and spend some more time with, which was great since it's for Chip Kidd, who wrote one of the stories inside and whose work I have always admired.

Lanzallamas/Flamethrower first print issue will be out in Oct 2014 - exclusive for New York Comic Con

I'm very happy to announce that I'll have a table at this year's New York Comic Con Artist's Alley. 

To mark the occasion, we will publish this convention-exclusive edition (limited to 100 copies) of the first issue of FLAMETHROWER (the webcomic we do with great writer Alejo Valdearena). The 32 page book will be for sale there, as will other books, prints and original art (from DENVER, IMPERFECT, LOGOUT and other projects).

FLAMETHROWER #1 (Pipabang Comics) will include the first 22 page episode of the series plus a  preliminary sketches section. Each issue will be signed and numbered.

Here's a first look at the cover, and I hope to see you all at the convention, it's gonna be a blast!

Print for "IMPERFECT", from sketch to final color

There's a few days left for the Kickstarter campaign for the four-issue mini series IMPERFECT (you can get it here!) and here is some step by step of this print I did for it. Enjoy it and share if you like it!

IMPERFECT, a four issue mini-series we've done with writer Al Letson is out through Kickstarter july 17th 2014.


IMPERFECT is the story of Eve Barber: an average kid, until puberty hits and everything starts to change. Her parents die in a freak accident, a war breaks out between mad scientists and religious zealots, her body transforms in what she feels are hideous ways, and her extraordinary powers manifest.

Eve can create avatars. They are five individuals that can go out and experience the world for her: her parents, her best friend, the boy she loves and the girl she resents. Denver inspired music by Hans Karl
